When you hear about Queso Blanco Recipe (white cheese), they can refer to many types of cheeses. Real crumbled white cheese is very popular in our country Mexico. However, there are many options in the United States regarding white cheese. You will often find versions of American cheese, such as cheddar, commonly used to make white cheese sauces. It is an economical option with good taste, gluten-free, and suitable for children and vegetarians.
This wild cheese sauce champions quality American cheese. It is a party favorite. Our recipe will offer various possibilities for consumption, always with chopped green chili for the expected Texas Mexico flavor. The mixture of white cheese and some spices give it a very salty taste. It’s easy to adjust the quantity of each ingredient to suit your preferences and spice tolerance.
After several failed tries to set up a cheese restaurant, we came across this recipe from a friend. We couldn’t believe how easy it was. We are so excited that there is no other choice but to give it to you.
Queso Blanco Recipe Dip
PREPARATION TIME: 5 MINUTES. COOKING TIME: 10 MINUTES.
1 pound white American cheese, coarsely chopped
¼ teaspoon cooking salt, plus extra for seasoning
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, plus extra for seasoning
2 cans (4 ounces) of green chiles, diced small, and drained
½ cup of heavy cream.
½ cup half and half
¼ teaspoon of ground cumin.
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh coriander.
1 large bag of tortilla chips
- In a pan over medium heat, then simmer cheese, chiles, heavy cream, half and half, cumin, salt, and pepper, stirring continuously until softened. Add additional salt and pepper, if needed.
- Add cilantro, pour into a bowl, and serve immediately with tortilla chips.
Before continuing, we will give you a suggestion that you can use to reproduce this sauce with the same arrangement in the slow cooker. Increase the amount of heavy cream from ½ cup to 1 cup (substituting the ½ cup for half and a half) and add one 8-ounce unit of cream cheese cubed. Cover and simmer for 1 to 1½ hours until the cheese has wholly blended and everything comes together.
If you like extra hot cheese, double the green chiles, but you can also halve them if you prefer a mild sauce. Don’t worry; it will still be creamy, flavorful, and downright delicious. They can drown a burrito with this white cheese dressing. It is also an excellent proposal to sprinkle it on potatoes or Spanish rice; my children love it in a tasty hamburger.
